Nomads and Doctors

These three Mongolians are some of those who have received direct assistance from Nomadicare.


Kh. Batjargal,

from the East Taiga settlement of reindeer herders, is in his third year at Ulaanbaatar's Agriculture University with a full scholarship from Nomadicare's donors. He is studying Materials Science and hopes to work in mining, while retaining his voice as a keeper of the land.

Rentsen Norov, MD,

the head doctor at Manlai Sum (county) hospital in the South Gobi, was chosen the top doctor of all soum hospitals in 2008. She requested a laboratory for her hospital in 2001 and Nomadicare provided it.


Saran, MD,

the head doctor of Mandakh Sum hospital trained in a certificate program in Mongolian Medicine at the Heath and Sciences University in Ulaanbaatar, expenses paid by Nomadicare. Now she is able to offer modern and traditional medicine at her hospital.
